Ian Kirkwood lives and works in Kirkmichael, Perthshire where he grew up. He studied design and illustration at Edinburgh College of Art from where he earned a BA Honours degree in Design in 1984. He worked at the National Trust for Scotland and elsewhere before returning to Perthshire in 1989. Ian works for a number of clients including local council departments, WWF Scotland and The Marine Conservation Society. Amongst Ian's other interests are the crafting of reproduction steel basket sword hilts, traditional Japanese arts and honey farming. |
